Carved from golden rosewood (sheesham)and boxwood, the Art Deco Chess Pieces are cylindrically shaped series of contemporary pieces. The bold, geometric shapes boast more clean lines than traditional chess pieces, with the bishops and knights noticeably adherent to Art Deco conventions as opposed to the Staunton style.
The king is 3.5 inches (89 mm) tall with a base diameter of 1.2 inches (30 mm), and so we have matched it with a stunning 15.75 inch walnut and maple board. These boards are crafted by the world famous Rechapados Ferrer in Spain and are renowned for their exquisite quality and finish.
