Exquisitely detailed, tournament-size Staunton design, these chess pieces are created in exotic solid rosewood and boxwood. Each piece is carved or turned by hand, carefully polished, weighted and balanced to perfection. The grain of the rosewood is distinctive, full of character and looks truly stunning when displayed on the correct chessboard.
The world-famous Rechapados Ferrer, based in Spain, uses modern fabrication techniques to create high-quality and perfectly finished chessboards. In particular, this high-grade walnut and maple veneered creation works really well with stunning grain details in both the rosewood pieces and the walnut veneers.
To keep your pieces safe when not in play, we have added this beautifully constructed, solid wood chess piece case. With its extremely rich coloured wood and very attractive deep grain, this box is very hard-wearing, and inside the large flocked and padded compartment makes it perfect for keeping your chess pieces safe for many years.
To complete this ensemble, we have also added a lovely wooden clock. This clock really complements the woods and grains of the board, box and pieces. Constructed in a traditional design using quality mechanisms, the clock requires no batteries with its wind-up mechanism.
