This carving design is classic Staunton, with a beautifully crafted knight and bishop. Supplied by the same chess workshop that produces some of the world's finest chessmen, the Highclere’s have a 3 inch king and broad bases, will sit perfectly on this beautifully unique wooden chess board.

The chessboard is high gloss lacquered dark walnut and elm made by Italian artisans. The finish offers a level of opulence and, practically, affords protection and strength to the board surface. The chessmen reflect beautifully when set up and glide so effortlessly.
