Also known as the German Knight chessmen these 7.62 cm versions of the Regency Chess entry level wooden Staunton chess pieces have a wonderful combination of amazing value and quality craftsmanship.
Turned from selected boxwood and single weighted, with generous felting on their bases and solid 'one piece' carving, these pieces are perfect for years and years of chess playing. These Downhead chessmen have been polished to a medium natural gloss by the same talented craftsmen responsible for some of the worlds highest quality chess sets. This ensures that every piece is finished to a standard far higher than is to be expected for this price.
To accompany these chessmen we suggest purchasing a chess board of 15 to 40 cm for the best match.
