The Atlantic Series Rosewood Chessmen are individually made from single blocks of solid rosewood, giving them a durable construction that is sure to last for generations.
Within this Regency Chess favourite there are some really remarkable chess pieces, including a hatted bishop and a staunch, columned rook.
The knights have small, neat ears and a toothy smile; their character shines through in abundance thanks to a solid carving that is done by hand by our partner craftsmen. While these pieces do represent a highly sophisticated addition to your dresser or display cabinet they are also a pleasure to play chess with and will endure plenty of lengthy games. These superb chess pieces have been finished with a fine hand polish, a time consuming process that results in a lacquer free natural shine to the beautiful rosewood that they are carved from.
These chessmen will sit perfectly on a chess board with a square size of 5.08 cm (51 mm) or greater. Our 50.80 cm (50 mm) chess boards will complement this set perfectly.
